LUIS LORETO NUNEZ's Obituary
Luis L. Nunez, 72, passed away quietly on October 25, 2012 in his home in West Miami surrounded by family and friends. Born in Havana, Cuba, in 1939, he immigrated to the US in 1968 soon after marrying. He developed masterful carpentry skills which he used to throughout his life. After “retiring”, he established his own landscaping business and worked until shortly before his death. He welcomed political debate, and enjoyed eating the fruits of his avocado and mango trees. He cared for his close community of family and friends and would happily admit he was seldom wrong. He enjoyed playing dominoes and barbequing.
He is survived by his wife, Marta; two children, George and Mildred; and four beautiful grandchildren: Garrett, Melissa, Makenna & Margaret Peyton.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Sunday, October 28th, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Van Orsdel Funeral Chapel at 4600 SW 8 St., Coral Gables.
