LUIS ROBERTO ARRUE's Obituary
Luis Roberto Arrue, de 88 años, falleció el 7 de enero de 2018, solo 18 días antes de cumplir 89 años.
Luis nació el 25 de enero de 1929 en La Maya, Cuba y era el menor de cuatro hermanos. Él era el hijo de los fallecidos Luisa Vera y Juan Arrue.
Luis comenzó su carrera en Santiago de Cuba como pediatra. Luego se fue de Cuba para comenzar un nuevo comienzo en los Estados Unidos. Luis y Marta Arrue se casaron el 8 de abril de 1961 y se mudaron a los Estados Unidos en 1968 con sus hijos Juan Manuel Arrue y Martica Arrue Gonter. Estudió en la Universidad de Vanderbilt en Nashville, TN para especializarse en Pediatría en los Estados Unidos. Después de una oportunidad de trabajo en Atlanta, Luis practicó medicina en Georgia durante muchos años exitosos hasta 1984, luego se mudó a Miami, FL para trabajar para el Departamento de Salud del Estado de Florida. La pediatría era natural para Luis ya que tenía el mejor sentido del humor y sus bromas.
En su tiempo libre, a Luis siempre le encantaron los productos electrónicos y era muy conocedor de las computadoras. Fue el primero en tener computadoras, teléfonos inalámbricos, cable o cualquier cosa que fuera de vanguardia antes de que se convirtieran en la norma.
Luis será recordado amorosamente por su esposa de 57 años, Marta, sus hijos, Juan Manuel y Martica, yerno Bob y su nuera Kim. Luis también será recordado con cariño por sus nietos, David Arrue, Jonathan Arrue y Jordanne Gonter. Le sobreviven sus sobrinas y sobrinos Angel e Ileana Domínguez, Armando y Luis Roberto Arrue.
Se celebrará una misa el viernes 12 de enero de 2018 a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica de St. Timothy en 5400 SW 102 Avenue, Miami, FL.

Luis was born on January 25, 1929 in La Maya, Cuba and was the youngest of four children. He was the son of the late Luisa Vera and Juan Arrue.
Luis began his career in Santiago de Cuba as a Pediatrician. He then left Cuba to start a new beginning in the United States. Luis and Marta Arrue were married on April 8th, 1961 and moved to the United States in 1968 with their children Juan Manuel Arrue and Martica Arrue Gonter. He studied at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN to specialize in Pediatrics in the United States. After a job opportunity in Atlanta, Luis practiced medicine in Georgia for many successful years until 1984, then moved to Miami, FL to work for the State of Florida Health Department. Pediatrics came natural to Luis as he had the best sense of humor and his practical jokes.
In his spare time, Luis always loved electronics and was very savvy with computers. He was the first to have computers, cordless phones, cable, or anything that was state of the art before they became the norm.
Luis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Marta, his children, Juan Manuel, and Martica, son in law Bob, and daughter in law Kim. Luis will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, David Arrue, Jonathan Arrue and Jordanne Gonter. He was survived by his nieces and nephews Angel and Ileana Dominguez, Armando and Luis Roberto Arrue.
A mass will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church at 5400 SW 102 Avenue, Miami, FL.
