LOUISINA RENEE MITCHELL's Obituary
Our dear mother and grandmother Renee Ferrie Mitchell was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1931 and emigrated to the United States in 1958 where she met and married her lifelong husband Roy Mitchell. Mom had 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Children: Marie Warmbrandt, Maureen Kane, Roy Mitchell Jr. and Frank Mitchell. Grandchildren: Alex Hernandez, Steven Hernandez, Samantha Kane and Ariel Warmbrandt. Mom lived in Miami for the last 28 years after leaving New Jersey in 1987. Throughout her life she has made many friends and was loved by all. Her strong independent personality made her so special to her family and friends.
Mom is remembered fondly by her grandchildren because she was always making them laugh. Mom went peacefully to Heaven surrounded by her loved ones. She will be loved forever and missed by all who knew her.
Ariel writes: I loved my Nana, there is no doubt about that. We all loved her. She loved us. She Was always happy to see her grandchildren. Always smiling. She was a great storyteller. The stories she told ranged from her growing up in Scotland to raising a family in New Jersey. She loved talking about things she read or saw on TV. During our phone calls she always had something to talk about. Nana was also a very giving person. She was always donating to a charity. She didn't even care about having money to spend on herself, she knew that money could help someone else. It's hard to comprehend. But we must face reality. Nana would not want us to sad. She would want us to carry on our everyday lives. Now is the time to celebrate her life.
Samantha writes: My Grandma made her transformation into a beautiful angel today. Though I am still in denial and I feel like you're still here I have to come to the realization that you are gone. It all happened so fast, You were so strong and to see you so weak tore my heart out of my chest. 'v is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. I just have to ask God for the strength to pull through and eventually I will for you. But it's not a goodbye, it's a see you later. I love you so much and I am so glad I got to make you proud before you passed. I'm so happy I got to spend your last moments with you. Last night even though you were asleep as I was letting go of your hand I felt you grip my hand, that let me know you felt my presence. My beautiful angel I love you more than works will ever explain and you will always be remembered.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to one of Renee's favorite charities in her name, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Wounded Warriors Fund.
