Louise Ann Caiazzo Kellner's Obituary
Louise Ann (Luisa) Caiazzo Kellner, beloved mother, Nona, sister, educator, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022 with her two children, Alison Adriana and James Christopher, at her side, holding her hands. Louise’s determination, unrelenting strength, and will to live, learn, and love were present until her final breath.
Born on March 5, 1947, in New York, to the late Francis Anthony Caiazzo and Adrienne Epitropu Caiazzo, Louise was raised in Pelham Manor, New York, the oldest of five children, Frank (Jennifer), Robert (Lauren), Christopher, and the late Christina Caiazzo. Her treasured blessings called her Nona (Bella Louise and Chancellor Anthony) or Mom [Alison and James (Elizabeth)]. Formerly married to Fred Kellner, Louise was also a proud and loving Aunt and friend to so many. Louise touched countless lives of children and families throughout her teaching career and life.
A retired school teacher, she served her entire tenure of over three decades at Coconut Grove Elementary School. Thousands of children and families across multiple generations of the Grove community came to love and respect her dedication, discipline, passion and commitment to helping children develop and achieve their fullest potential. Her hard-working nature, work ethic, and motivating spirit live on in the classrooms, halls, and gardens of Coconut Grove Elementary School. Even after retirement, Louise found pleasure in volunteering at Snapper Creek Elementary School while her grandchildren were in attendance.
Throughout her 75 magnificent years, Louise embodied and radiated strength, grace, perseverance, and an unwavering faith in our Heavenly Father. Aside from her children and grandchildren, her sense of humor and ability to share stories, past and present, are among her greatest gifts and legacies.
Family, colleagues, friends, and former students are invited to join us as we celebrate and honor her glorious life and legacy. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 2:00 to 7:30 P.M., at Van Orsdel Chapel, 11220 North Kendall Drive. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1400 Miller Road in Coral Gables. Burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park South, 13900 S.W. 117th Avenue.
