LOUISE ANN BUTCHER's Obituary
Butcher, Louise, 93, of Miami, FL entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Saturday,
August, 18,2012. Louise passed away peacefully after an extended illness at Embracing
Hospice in Snellville, GA with family by her side.
Louise was bom in Winona, West Virginia and was married to the love of her life and
coal miner husband, Delbert, for 68 years until his passing in 2004. She was a devout
Christian and member of the First Baptist Church of Homestead, Florida. As a dedicated
servant to the Lord, for many years she greatly enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother
who will deeply be missed! Her love for the Lord was always apparent and radiantly
showed. Louise never met a stranger, as she always made a friend wherever she would go.
Whether it was a kind word in passing, an uplifting talk on the phone or her engaging
smile, she always had a way of comforting those near her. She had a sweet and gentle
spirit that will always be remembered, particularly for her generosity, integrity and
willingness to help others.
Louise is survived by her six loving children Margaret Johnson of Miami, FL; Delbert Butcher Jr.
and wife Joy of Miami, FL; Joe Butcher and wife Carol of Zephyrhills, FL; Pat Johnson of Snellville, GA;
Sue Spicer and husband Bill of Lawrenceville, GA; Linda Ford and husband Kirby of Lawrenceville, GA;
14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Kayrouz of Louisville, KY;
Gladys Samonski of Port St. Lucie, FL; Norma Isaacs of Cliftop, WV; Shelva Finley of Marion, TX;
Shirley Whipkey of Charleston, WV; Scotty Henderson of Zansville, OH; many cousins, nieces,
nephews and countless friends.
Louise's homegoing and funeral services will proceed to Van Orsdel Funeral Home- Kendall Chapel,
11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, FL. and be held on Tuesday, August 21,2012 at 1:00 PM.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Jeff Ford (Grandson) will give eulogy and Rev. Howard Harden (First Baptist Church of Homestead FL)
officiating. Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park, Miami, FL.
