LILLIE T BAKER's Obituary
Lillie Turner Baker born March 19,1933 in Bartow FL and passed on January 23, 2016 in Kendall FL. She was the middle child of three children by the late Rebecca (Long) Baker, Mitchell and father Jiles Baker. She has also been preceded by her Older Brother Willie Baker and Grand Mother Emma (Ashley) Long of Bainbridge Georgia and Grandfather Samuel Long.
Lillie attended University in Baltimore Maryland where she studied nursing. She also graduated High School in Bartow Florida. Her thirty-two year career with the State of Florida at Suniland facility in Carol City were she taught and cared for the mentally challenged. She had a passion for taking care of those who were most vulnerable and needed special attention in learning.
Special Interests included going on vacations with family, travel, festivals and going boating whenever she could.
Her legacy as a devoted mother to three children Elizabeth (Cooper) Hines, Eugne Cooper and Carla Wiley - Coakley. Her siblings: Tommy (Annie) Baker,
Ray (Mary Ann) Baker, Claudius Baker, Kay Baker- Emerson (Arthur),
Mary Baker -Marshall (Ronald), Sandra Baker - Willam (Ted), Jeanette Baker-Green (Frank), Annette Baker. Grandmother of five: Milton Williams, Andrea Hines, Alicia Cooper, Christopher Cooper, Melissa Coakley and Yisel Wiley. Great grands: Milton Williams Jr. Mizell Jackson, Carlisle G. Wiley. She is an Aunt to many special Nieces and Nephews.
