LILLIAN ELIZABETH HORSLEY HANCE's Obituary
Lillian Elizabeth Horsley Hance of Miami, FL. passed away October 22, 2023
surrounded by family and friends. Lillian was born April 9th, 1932, in the
small town of Mejillones, located in the Antofagasta Province of Chile. Lillian
was the beloved sister of Sameul Morton Horsely. She was educated
through the private boarding school system and upon graduating high school
became a stewardess for Panagra Airlines until she emigrated to the US in
1956. Lillian was first married to Edward W. English, followed by her second
marriage to Robert E. Hance, until his passing in 2010. Lillian spent 14 years
employed by Jordan Marsh as a part-time manager where she also helped to
train young associates. At the same time, she was employed at the State
Attorney’s office, 3rd District Court of Appeals, and the Miami Dade County
Attorney’s Office for a total of 45 years. Lillian also held a real estate license
for many years. She also owned her own antique shop for a few years.
She enjoyed decorating her home with antiques by traveling the U.S. and
going to local estate sales with her husband. She loved shopping and
fashion and could never pass up a good sale. Sipping on Macchiato’s and
eating French breakfast pastries was her favorite meal any time of the day.
While Lillian had a passion for the arts and antiques her greatest passion
was her family. Lillian touched the lives of so many with her loving and
generous heart. She always wanted the best for her family and friends and
made it known.
Lillian is survived by her children - Edward W. English II, Howard English,
Michael English, (wife Karin English), Erica Willey (husband Jack Willey),
Vassna Faraldo,(husband Alex Faraldo), and Linda Alvarez,(husband
Raymond Alvarez)
Lillian is also survived by her grandchildren Rachel English, Hunter English,
Jenna English, Michael English, Hannah Willey, Sarah Willey, Jesus “Chuchi”
Rodriguez, Karina Alvarez, Raymond Alvarez.
The funeral arrangements are as follows: Church Service will be 11/02/2023
at the Church of the Little Flower, Coral Gables, FL. @ 10:30 AM with the
burial to follow at Graceland South Cemetery. Reception information will be provided at funeral.
