LATIFE H. ZYNE's Obituary
Latife Habib Zyne, 90, of Miami, Florida,
Passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Born October 8, 1933, in Abadiyeh, Lebanon, she was the last surviving sibling with a sister Elaine and three brothers Halime, Misho and George Habib. Latife married George Zyne in 1951 and was married 30 years before George passed away. Latife retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She enjoyed cooking, teaching Arabic and was fluent in four languages and was very active at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral including the choir.
She is survived by her three sons, Alexander (Lori), Nicholas and Charles (Beatriz), and by her daughter Georgette Stein (Barry),
granddaughter Charlsey Zyne,
granddaughter Vanessa Severe (Michael), two great-granddaughters Lucy and Isla,
and a grandson Jonathan Zyne (Noemi).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. George Cathedral in Coral Gables. Services will be held on Friday, June 21, at 6 p.m. at St. George Orthodox Cathedral located at 320 Palermo Ave., Coral Gables, Fl. 33134. Burial will be held at noon, Saturday June 22, at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South located at 11655 S.W. 117 Ave. Miami, Fl.
