Larry Arthur Zacke's Obituary
Larry Arthur Zacke, 74 of Miami, FL
Larry, affectionately known as Dad, Grandpa, Sir, Mr. Z, My Larry and Our Larry was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Neighbor, and Friend. He was born and raised in Miami, FL and lived in Nevada only while serving in the Airforce. He was very proud of to have served his country and often shared his experiences. After graduating from Southwest Senior High, he went on to have many accomplishments while working for John Alden, Cordis, Burger King and Assurant as a computer programmer. Larry was meticulous and driven; he believed in working hard and sticking to goals. He instilled those values in his children and grandchildren and was always very proud to discuss their accomplishments as well. He was a very kind and generous person always looking out for others. He was a staple of the community as he lived in the same home for over three decades. He was an avid golf player often playing 3 or 4 times a week. He also enjoyed taking long daily walks throughout the neighborhood often walking up to 7 miles. Larry was born to Arthur & Margaret and was a widower to Dale Zacke to whom he was married for 23 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Cassandra Zacke. Larry and Cassandra were very happily married. They enjoyed attending Old Cutler Presbyterian Church together, traveling, golf outings, beach trips, nature adventures, and everyday life. It was the simple things that they enjoyed most though such as a walk on the beach or breakfast at their favorite restaurant. They complimented each other well and made a point to live life to the fullest together. Larry is also survived by his children and their families: Jennifer, Ed, Edward & Owen Valdez Jonathan, Ana, Matthew & Emma Zacke Russell, Denise, Madison Irvine
Our Larry will be missed tremendously because he was such an integral part of our lives, but we take solace in knowing he is in heaven now.
