Konstantinos "Kostas" Albanis' Obituary
ALBANIS,
Konstantinos, “Kostas” of Miami, Florida, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Jackson Memorial Hospital. Born in Greece, on May 8, 1942, to George and Katerina Albanis, Konstantinos arrived in the U.S. in 1965 in Chicago and then Miami in 1972. He grew into a successful restauranteur including Zorba’s The Greek Restaurant in Hallandale for 25 years and Maria’s Greek Restaurant for 28 years. Konstantinos is survived by his wife, Angela, his daughters Katerina and her husband Nikolaos Theodorou, Maria and her husband Costa Grillas and their son Athanasios in Miami and his four siblings Vasiliki, Morphia, Spiro and Sophia in Greece. The visitation will take place 6pm – 8 pm with Trisagion service 7 pm Sunday, March 27th at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL, 4600 S.W. 8TH ST. The funeral service will be held at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church on Monday, March 28 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Park North.
