Grandpa used to drive us around to see the memorials in Washington D.C. lit up at night. He always made time to be with his grandkids. He listened to us, laughed with us and made us feel a special kind of love that only comes from a grandparent. He was interested in our lives. With a peanut butter yogurt from Thomas Sweets In hand he would drive us around Georgetown and just be with us. That’s how I will remember Grandpa. As the smart and incredibly humble man who served his country and the world, who deeply loved and cherished his family.
