Dr. Kelly Carlton Thomas Sr., 86, a Miami native passed away on July 28, 2013. Kelly a WWII US Navy veteran was an alumnus of Miami High 1945, University of Miami 1953 and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry 1956. Kelly a Florida Optometrist in private practice for 35 years, maintained continuous membership with the American Optometric Association for 55 years. Kelly, a Baptist deacon enjoyed playing “How Great Thou Art” on the piano, tennis in his youth and church activities, which included two missionary trips to Belize. Kelly is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anna Lee Thomas, sons Kelly Carlton Thomas Jr,/Mary, Kelly Clifton Thomas II/Aurora, grandsons Kelly Clifton Thomas III, Henry Alexander Thomas.Dr. Kelly Carlton Thomas Sr., 86, a Miami native passed away on July 28, 2013.
