Katina, 88, passed away in Potomac, MD on 6-1-18, where she lived for 30 years. She was born in Jacksonville, FL but spent most of her life in Miami and graduated from the University of Florida, with a degree in Art. Katina was a talented artist and excelled at teaching children of all ages how to develop their skills and creativity in art, which was praised by their schools. Katina was the daughter of John and Anais Economou, who came to the USA from Greece. She was one of four children Thomas, William, who are deceased and Julia the last remaining sibling. Katina was previously married without children but has five nieces and nephews and several grand-nephews. Her wishes were to eventually return to Florida, her home. Graveside Service 10:30 am Thursday at Woodlawn Park North.
