Kathryn Mills' Obituary
MILLS
Kathryn, passed away at her home on August 9th, a pioneer of Dade County. She was very active since the 1940’s in South Florida road construction. She founded H.L. Mills Construction Co., and the H.L. and Kathryn Mills Charitable Foundation. She loved the outdoors and her passion was spending time at her cattle ranch. She was an active member of the Engineering Contractor’s Assn., the American Road Builders Assn., and the Florida Farmers Assn. She was predeceased by her husband H.L. Mills, her only son Ronald (Shot), and granddaughter Deneen (Peaches). Survived by brother Ed, two sisters Ann (Lady), and Gerry, grandchildren Michael, Debbie and Cathy and five great grandchildren. Donations in lieu of flowers in memory of Kathryn Mills to The Wien Center, 4300 Alton Rd., Miami Beach, FL 33140. Visitation 7 – 9 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm Friday at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL. Funeral Mass 10 am Saturday at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Entombment Woodlawn Park North.
