Kathleen Ann Jenkins 's Obituary
Jenkins, Kathleen Ann, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018, at the age of 95.
Kathleen was born on April 12, 1923 in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and worked as a beautician. Shortly after the end of WWII, she married the love of her life, Jack, on February 14, 1946. Together, Kathleen and Jack raised three children. Family was everything to Kathleen. She made it her life’s purpose to care for her family. Kathleen had a passion for cooking and she enjoyed traveling. She was active in her church until her health began to fail.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Gladys Duffy and her husband, Jack. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: John & Mary Sue Jenkins, Karen & Roy Schoen and Donna & Robert Simmons. She is also survived by grandchildren: Dr. Brian Jenkins, Jenny Lovely, Katherine McMaster, Deanna Simmons, Kaitlyn Simmons and Yamile Ostuni as well as great grandchildren Jack Lovely, Paige Lovely, Locklyn McMaster, Fiona McMaster and Juliet Jenkins.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Van Orsdel Kendall Chapel, 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, FL. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Flagler Memorial Park.
