Junior Kuilan's Obituary
Junior Kuilan, “Papo,” to all who loved him, passed away on November 20, 2024. He was born in
Hackensack, New Jersey, to Petra Marrero Ayala as one of her cherished 9 children. Junior was
the beloved husband to Ileana Romero and loving father to Damaris, Derick, and Jesenia.
Grandpa Papo was adored by his grandchildren Arianna, Amaryss, Alanney, Derick, and
Delaney, who were the apple of his eye. He is also survived by his siblings Delia, Milagros,
Fernando(Tito), Mary, Lucy, Carmen, Virginia and Rosa.
Papo had a love for music and his congas. He made friends wherever he went, with what he
would say was his “Puerto Rican charm.” He was always making jokes and loved to give anyone
a hard time. In which he would sooth with a “you know I’m just playin”. Junior loved to sit back
and relax in his backyard, blasting salsa with an ice-cold beer. He will be greatly missed but
forever loved.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, from 2 pm-5 pm at Van Orsdel 11220 N
Kendall Dr. Miami, Fl 33176.
