JULIE AZRAK's Obituary
Julie Azrak, 101 years of age, passed away on February 5th, 2025. She was born in Patterson, New Jersey on August 5th, 1923, to Selma and George Azrak. She was one of seven children – Mary, Charles, Fred, Alice, Evelyn, and Laurice. The Azraks’ moved from New Jersey to Miami in 1945.
Julie was a sales executive at Miami International Airport for over 40 years. She was a founding member of St. Jude Melkite Catholic Church and served as President of the Ladies Guild for many years. She was also a member of Knights of Columbus. Julie had a passion for travel and enjoyed her many cruises through the Caribbean with her family and friends. She traveled extensively in the Middle East throughout Beirut and Syria. Julie loved sports, specifically baseball, never missing a Marlins game.
Julie lit up the room when she walked in and was always full of life. She lived for her family and always looked forward to spending special occasions and holidays with them. In recent years, she adopted a cat named Pumpkin that brought her great joy. She is survived by her sisters Evelyn Sabbag and Laurice Joseph, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 13th at St. Jude Melkite Catholic Church located at 126 S.E. 15 Road. The funeral service will follow shortly after.
Her final resting place will be at Woodlawn Park South.
