He was my professor at Miami Dade College. He hired me to then work with his wife and we also shared our Catholic faith. Me. Jude was always joyful and cracking jokes. He was a reflection of God’s mercy and love. I wish he would have met my husband as he was always praying for me to marry. Last year, I got to introduce him to his wife, Mr. Ren and that felt like if I was sharing that moment with him as well. I have no doubt that he enjoys in the company of the Lord in heaven. Forever grateful to him and his family.

Mr. Ferreira was one of my professor's at Johnson and Wales around 2010. He was intimidating because he was so intelligent, passionate and expected a lot out of his students, but he was also extremely kind and supportive. He wanted all of his students to succeed and it showed. Although I'm not someone to ask for help, something in me told me to ask for his guidance. I went to his office and he was so excited that I went to him and did everything in his power to help me line up interviews. He pushed me and encouraged me to just go for it. I'll always remember him fondly. My thoughts are with his family.

Professor Ferreira taught in my opinion, the most difficult class while I was a student at Johnson and Wales University which was menu planning and cost control. He was tough, but fair and so supportive. I studied my ass off for his class and I shed many tears, but he was ALWAYS available for tutoring. He volunteered his personal time to help students that needed his help and he was oh so passionate about it. I ended up with an A as a final grade and I could not stop crying! He definitely impacted my life in such a positive way. I just found out he passed and I'm so broken up about it. Rest easy my dear professor. I will NEVER forget you. God bless your family. Until we meet again.❤️

Mr. Ferreira was such as inspiration for me as a young adult, he was the first genuinely caring soul that i met when i got to Miami in 2006 as a new student at JWU. I moved there from a small town of 3,000 and was feeling a bit lost, and unsure of my choice to study hotel management. He showed me the type of passion and energy it takes to make it in this business and i'm still doing it to this day. If you meet the right people at the right time in your life it can make all the difference, and he did for me, i'm so sad to read that he's past on now, the world of education and hospitality have lost a great man.
