Juan Francisco Roman's Obituary
Juan Francisco Roman (age 92) of Miami-Dade County, Florida, passed away on December 8, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on June 2, 1928 to Jose Roman and Alejandrina Toledo. Juan graduated from the University of Omaha (Nebraska) in 1964 and received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He was married to Rosa I. Nieves-Roman for 35 years. He joined the United States Air Force when he was 17. After spending 20 years in the Air Force, he retired and worked in the insurance industry until he opened his own insurance company. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Roman, his children, Alexandra Roman, Gloria Erickson (Gary Erickson), Patricia Roman (Renny Ramirez), Barbara Aquila (Dennis Aquila) and James Roman. His son John Roman predeceased him. Juan adored his grandchildren Shavon Roman, LaShawn Cleveland (J’san Cleveland), James Roman, Jr. and Patrick Aquila (Chelsea Blancaneaux). He is also survived by great granddaughter, Arya Aquila. A viewing will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Van Orsdel, 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176 followed by the burial at Caballero Woodlawn Cemetery, 11655 SW 117 Avenue, Miami, FL 33186.
