I had the privilege of working for Juan Garcia for over 16 years, Travieso was my second home and Mr. Garcia was more than a boss he was a family not only was he a mentor but a guide, and a constant source of support. Through challenges and successes, his integrity, dedication, and kindness never wavered. He believed in people, led with fairness, and created a workplace where respect and hard work truly mattered. His impact will live on through the many lives he touched, and he will always be remembered with gratitude and admiration. Only Juan Garcia would let my toddler at the time play golf in the middle of the office, Anthony called him “Tio” and he loved visiting the office because “Tio” would let him do whatever he wanted. There are too many memories to put into writing, but that I will always hold dear to my heart. Thank you Mr. Garcia for the impact you had on our lives and the legacy you leave behind. Rest in Peace, for ever my favorite boss!
Juan also loved and admire President Trump- he was a proud Republican who loved his Country. We shared our love for politics and went together to the rallies and the inaguration. He will be truly missed as we shared a special bond. I’m proud to say I was one of his favorites. He tried to teach me how to play golf - I will always remember him as a special person in my life. Te recordaré siempre con mucho afecto.
Recuerdo cuando, a principios de la década de los 60,vivíamos en la casa de Amilcar en Santiago de Cuba cuando tu estudiabas en la escuela de comercio y yo en preunivesitario. Eras mi primo mayor y cuidabas de mi. Tardé muuuchos años en comprender lo que me advertias del comunismo que estaba apoderandose de nuestra Cuba. Tuve la oportunidad de agradecertelo personalmente cuando te visité, junto con mi esposa, en 1999 en tu casa de New Jersey. Nos mostraste lo mejor New York y New Jersey así como tus lugares preferidos de golosinas cubanas. Fueron unos días inolvidables.
Luego tuve oportunidad de verte aquí en Miami Beach. Creo que fue la última vez que pude verte. Pero el recuerdo perdurará por siempre m primoi entrañable.
