Juan Carlos Echegoyen's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Juan Carlos Echegoyen, a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Born on November 12, 1942, in Havana, Cuba, Juan Carlos lived a life marked by passion, creativity, and unwavering support for those he loved.
Juan Carlos had a long and accomplished career in security systems and computer motherboard design. He worked with esteemed companies such as Wackenhut Security and Gables Engineering in Miami, Florida, and Stratus Technologies in Marlborough, Massachusetts. His technical expertise and dedication left a lasting impact on the field and those he worked with.
Juan Carlos was known not only for his professional achievements but also for his artistic soul. He was an exceptional painter and, in recent years, became a creative writer. His deep love for reading enriched his life and inspired those around him.
He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Juan and Ana, and his beloved wife, Marjorie. He leaves behind his daughters, Liana (Dennis), and Kristina (Junior); his adored grandchildren, Nicole, Gabriella, James, Juan Carlos, and Jacob; his great-grandchildren, Elena, Leilani, Elijah, Evert, Alice, and Valentina; his sister, Vivian; and his nephew and niece, Jack and Elizabeth. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Van Orsdel Funeral Home, located at 4600 SW 8th Street, Coral Gables, FL, 33134.
Juan Carlos was a passionate, artistic, and supportive presence in the lives of many. He will be dearly missed.
