JOSETTE BAYARD's Obituary
In loving Memory of
Josette Rose Alberte Anne Marie Cayard Bayard
September 21, 1942 – April 12, 2017
Josette Bayard passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Port de Paix, Haiti and lived in Port au Prince while becoming an accountant. She soon met and married her husband, Frantz Henry Bayard, and moved to Chicago, IL where she lived with him and their two children. Later in life, she decided to change careers and become a registered nurse. As a nurse she was able to fulfill her dreams of caring for others who could not help themselves. She lived in Miami, Florida, for the last 26 years and retired with dignity.
She was one of four children born to the late Joseph and Louise Cayard. Predeceased by her brother, Louis Cayard, Josette will forever be remembered by her beloved husband Frantz Henry Bayard; devoted children Henry and Patrick Bayard; sisters Jacqueline Ricot, Ginette Cayard, Claire Cole, and Carol Mills; niece and nephews Lawrence Lambert, Ernst Ricot Jr, Gregory Ricot, Cassandre Ricot, and Christopher Cayard; grandchildren Nilah Rigaud and Michai Franks; cousins Giselle Bosquet, Edith Jean- Jacques, Esther Conde, Luc Ambert Saindoux, Jerry and Jean Ambert Saindoux, Mildred Cayard, Frantz and Henri Cayard, Leon Williams, and Gladys Bonnet; as well as all extended families and long life friends such as Marie Jose Rios, Lucienne Riobe, and Kettly Moise among others that are too many to mention.
Josette loved reading, arts and crafts, traveling, and “taking it easy”. Josette was infectious with her laugh, smile, and generosity. She enjoyed long conversations on the phone with her many friends and family.
She will be sorely missed, we love you and miss you, Josette, till we meet again!!
