Betty was a good friend with a sweet spirit. While we connected late in her life, I was encouraged by her ever-present joy and gratitude, which was evident despite her circumstances. She was a bright, intelligent and passionate woman, both kind and generous, and with a great love of books and reading, missing it greatly in her final few years. She remained sharp and articulate almost every time we spoke, and she was always deeply interested in the on-going ministry at Moody Bible Institute where I serve, encouraged that the ministry outreach continued to grow and remain effective in impacting lives for Christ. Betty was passionate about the things of God, and maintained a fervent desire that especially those close to her also enjoyed a personal walk with the Lord as she did. She is rejoicing in heaven today, surrounded by angels and saints, and without any of the limitations of the former aged body.
Linda & Graham, I pray you both are comforted by the Lord in your loss, as we celebrate Betty’s life and home-going with her same joy.
Betty, I look forward to seeing you again in His presence.
