Joseph Cyril Chin, Sr.
February 22, 1933 – March 31, 2025
Joseph Cyril Chin Sr., 92, of Miami, Florida, passed away on March 31, 2025. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Ken Peow “Kenneth” Chin and Lee Sue Gin “Emily” Chin, Joseph lived a life full of love and dedication. He was married to his beloved Gloria for 57 years until her passing in 2018.
Joseph is survived by his children: Joseph Chin Jr. (Anne Marie), Ann Margret Hew (Ian), David Chin (Lisa), and Duncan Chin (Gabrielle). He was a proud grandfather to Ashley, Melanie, Nicole, Taylor Anne, Brandon, Ryan, Kailey, Justin, and Adam. Joseph also leaves behind his sisters, Veta Chang and Shirley Cronin of Toronto, Canada. Joseph had two brothers, preceded in death, Alex and Douglas.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Van Orsdel Funeral Home, 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176. Deacon Louis Phang Sang will preside over the service at 1:00 PM.
The family extends their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love, comfort, and kindness during this difficult time.
