JOSE "PEPE" MANUEL REY's Obituary
A Celebration of the Life of Jose “Pepe” Rey
The family of Jose “Pepe” Rey will be receiving friends on Monday, July 6th 2015, from 4:00pm to Mid-Night, with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 7:30pm. He enjoyed boating, golfing, biking, camping, and skiing of which he participated every chance he could. He became an excellent cook and would whip up some terrific dishes that had his special stamp on them. He loved parties, getting together with close friends, as he often did, and take trips to his beloved second home, Key West with his wife, children and close friends.
Pepe was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Jose Rey and Elsa Vasquez. A Military Veteran having served in the Army as 11-Bravo Infantry Division, Army Service Ribbon, Parachute Badge, Marksmen Qualified Badge, The Screaming Eagles 101 Division and Basic Airborne Division. He attended Gables High and Dade Community College and became a respected and loved Healthcare Executive in South Florida till today.
Pepe is survived by his beloved wife Lissette Rey, Daughter, Becky Rey, Son, Joey Rey, Mother Elsa Vasquez, brothers and sisters, many family and friends. He asks that you stop by and re-tell the stories he can no longer tell. Not wanting a traditional service and knowing his love of life and happy free spirited-self, Chicho’s wishes was to have a “Celebration.” As the Celebration will contain a nontraditional wake please,( no suits or dark clothes), only Island attire, flip-flops and shorts definitely! In Lieu of Flowers donations to the family would be greatly appreciated to cover cost of funeral services. Please call funeral home for donations.
