JOSE FUERTES's Obituary
It is with incredible sadness that we announce the death of our husband, father, stepfather and dear member of our family. Jose “Pepe” Fuertes had an amazing Christmas Eve dinner with family and passed away peacefully in his sleep on Christmas Day.
He was born on May 12, 1939 in Camajuani, Cuba. He moved to the states with his parents, Angela Fuertes and Emilio Fuertes, and his older brother, Emilito Fuertes in 1958. He played many roles in his life including having served in the army in the 1960s and was very proud to have served his country. When he moved to Miami, he became a Builder and constructed innumerable projects throughout his life such as churches, homes, schools, gasoline stations, hospitals, commercial properties, etc.
He is survived by his wife, Trina Urbaez-Fuertes, four (4) children and nine (9) grandchildren, Ronald Fuertes, Cindy Amor, David Fuertes, Alejandra Urbaez-Vallejo, Vinnie Amor, Zachary Fuertes, Edie Fuertes, Lauren Amor, Vincent Vallejo, Isabel Fuertes, Alejandro Vallejo, Angelina Fuertes and Daniel Fuertes. Heaven has gained another angel. You will be truly missed.
We thank God for you Pepe and we choose to celebrate your life to the fullest. It certainly was a versatile life and we carry on with your legacy of hard work, an immaculate work ethic, simplicity, the most positive attitude and infectious child-like joy. God Bless You Pepe. Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro amado esposo, padre, padrastro y miembro querido de nuestra familia. José " Pepe" Fuertes, tuvo una increíble cena de Nochebuena con nuestra familia y falleció pacíficamente en su sueño el día de Navidad.
Nació el 12 de mayo de 1939 en Camajuaní, Cuba. Se trasladó a los Estados Unidos con sus padres, Angela Fuertes y Emilio Fuertes, y su hermano mayor, Emilito Fuertes en el 1958. A lo largo de su vida desempeño diversos roles, incluyendo haber servido en el ejército en la década de 1960 y estaba muy orgulloso de haber servido a su país. Cuando se mudó a Miami, se convirtió en Constructor y edifico innumerables proyectos a lo largo de su vida, tales como iglesias, hogares, escuelas, estaciones de gasolina, hospitales, centros comerciales, etc. Dejando en cada una de sus obras su sello “único” de perfección, ética y bienhechura!
Le sobreviven su esposa, Trina Urbaez-Fuertes, cuatro (4) hijos y nueve (9) nietos, Ronald Fuertes, Cindy Amor, David Fuertes, Alejandra Urbaez-Vallejo, Vinnie Amor, Zachary Fuertes, Edie Fuertes, Lauren Amor, Vincent Vallejo, Isabel Fuertes, Alejandro Vallejo, Angelina Fuertes y Daniel Fuertes. El cielo ha ganado otro ángel. Pepe será verdaderamente extrañado por todos.
Damos gracias a Dios por ti Pepe y elegimos celebrar tu vida al máximo. Sin duda tuviste una vida versátil y continuaremos con tu legado de trabajo duro, una ética de trabajo impecable, la sencillez, la actitud más positiva y tu alegría casi infantil contagiosa. Dios te bendiga Pepe. Descansa en Paz. Hasta que nos reencontremos de nuevo espiritualmente.
