JORGE D ZACUR's Obituary
Jorge Diab Zacur, 84, of Miami, Florida went to rest in the arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1934 in Zaidal, Syria. The son of farmers, he moved to Bolivia at the age of 14 to start a new life for himself. He worked hard, learned the language and loved the people of Bolivia and Argentina. He then immigrated to the United States in 1969. He met his wife, Najat, shortly after and started a family. He dedicated his life to becoming a successful businessman and to the Cathedral of St. George. He enjoyed spending time with his family, telling stories, eating barbecue, going to the beach, and being a loving and caring Jido to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Najat Zacur; his two children, Dr. Sharline Zacur Aboutanos (Dr. Michel Aboutanos) and Dr. George Michael Zacur (Dr. Jennifer Zacur); three grandchildren, Cristiana and Mikel Aboutanos and Mariam Zacur; five brothers and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Diab and Fedda Zacur, and sister, Zahra.
A visitation and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 17th at the Cathedral of St. George at 6:00 PM located at 320 Palermo Avenue Coral Gables, FL 33134. A burial service will be held on Thursday, October 18 beginning at the Cathedral of St. George at 10:30 AM and continued at Woodlawn Park North Cemetery located at 3260 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to the Cathedral of St. George.
