Jorge H. Vizcaino's Obituary
.VIZCAINO, JORGE H., 82, of Miami, Florida, passed away on the 13th of October, 2018. He was born in Havana, Cuba, on the 22nd of June, 1936. Jorge became a certified General Contractor by the Construction Industry Licensing Board on the 3rd of December, 1984. Jorge was married to his beloved wife, Nancy Vizcaino for 50 unforgettable years.
Jorge was a proud American patriot and enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces on the 20th of October, 1958 where he served until the 18th of October, 1960. He later pursued a passion for defending the welfare and pension of hotel laborers by becoming a Presidential candidate for the Hotel Laborers Local 355 Union of Miami Beach, FL. Jorge became recognized for Outstanding Support of Vital Community Service by The United Fund of Dade County in 1964. In addition to his certification in general contracting, Jorge also became a certified roofing contractor in which he carried on his legacy of creating homes in Miami, FL as well as his own real estate developments. In his life, Jorge deeply enjoyed sailing abroad on various cruises where he could always be found in the casino, remaining victorious in every game of dominoes and solitaire, watching the news, dancing to cuban music, and eating at Red Lobster. Jorge’s heart was his most prominent feature because he never failed to shower his wife, children, and grandchildren with all the love he had. Jorge will primarily be remembered by his kindness that he bestowed upon everyone he encountered through his personal philanthropic work to family, friends, and strangers.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Vizcaino; his children: Nancy Weaver, Carmen Maria Suarez, Janet Pimienta, and Jorge Vizcaino Jr; his grandchildren: Natalie D’Alacio, Scarlett D’Alacio, Isabella D’Alacio, Sabrina Suarez, Carlos Suarez, Eric Suarez, Janelle Pimienta, and Michelle Pimienta; and his great grandson: Alec Pimienta-Rosenfeld. Funeral arrangements will be held on the 16th of October from 7-11pm, and the 17th of October from 10a.m. - 12p.m. at Van Orsdel. The burial will take place at Dade South Memorial Park at 1 p.m.
