I have so many wonderful memories of Mike from fishing all night in the Everglades. To fishing all night in the Keys. Or just sitting on the dock in his backyard fishing. Riding bikes out to the tower and back at Shark Valley. Going to Estero Island renting a beach house for Summer break with the entire family. Watching him walking with his his Mother on the beach collecting seashells. Playing volleyball on the beach, building very big Sandcastles. Playing Uno at night, laughing so hard it hurt our stomachs. Watching him make his BBQ sauce or his baked beans. And you can't forget his Dump cake. I also worked with Mike for awhile, we bought a couple of lawnmowers and started a lawn service. Whatever it was that was going on at the time if Mike was around you are guaranteed to be laughing. He enjoyed life, he loved making everyone laugh. He got that from his father John Chatman. The reason I admired Mike so much was for the love he had for his family especially his Mother Mary. Not only could you see it in his eyes but you could literally feel it. He would walk through fire for her. And for his sisters Ann, Hazle, Dee Dee and little Tammy his baby sister. He loved them dearly. Also everytime he would mention his daughter Holly his face would just light up with happiness. I have never met his son, but I guarantee you. He was extremely full of love and Happiness just like with Holly. And for Joyce,,,,,,, sorry but I had to stop for a second and wipe the tears from my eyes. My heart is just broken for her. If a woman has ever loved a Man more than Joyce loves Mike. Then I would be in shock. The look on her face the glow in her eyes. The excitement that would come over her when he would walk in to a room. Or the look on her face when she would talk about him. I can see it now in my memories of Mike. Mike had all of Joyce's love he has her Heart and every bit of her Soul. Mike was a GOOD Man a very good Man. When his father passed, and even though he was a mess inside. He stood tall and he held his Mother up. He also became the rock for his sisters to lean on. That is what being a real man is. He was hurt and afraid on the inside. But at the same time taking his Father's place and being strong for his Mother and his sisters. Yes Mike Chatman was very good Man. I love you Mike, RIP MY BROTHER your back in your Mother's arms now.
