I have known John for over thirty years. He always had a friendly attitude and kind words for everyone. Over the years and in the course of his physical issues John remained positive and courageous. He gave encouragement to many of us by his example. Thank you John, you will be missed by many. Blessings to you and your family... from Kent and your amateur radio friends...##imported-begin##Kent Gilpin##imported-end##
I knew John since I got my ham ticket back in 1995. First met him at a DRC meeting when it used to be at the old EOC which was down the street from his house. He was a very intresting guy to talk to and he was always around during the Miami hamfest and the MS 150 bike race. He will be missed. RIP and 73's John

He was a great driving force in the Ham community in Miami. I didn't see John very often (DRC meetings and Hamborees) but he was always friendly and cheerful.
John will be sorely missed.
My condolences to his family.##imported-begin##John McHugh##imported-end##
Met John at the Dade Radio Club.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mirtha and family as you grieve the loss of your loved one. May God sustain you with His grace and peace at this time. John will be missed.

I am very sad to hear of John’s Passing.
I used to talk to John on 2 meters almost every day when he was driving home from work back in the late 70’s.
I will always remember John for his friendly smile, his handshake, his witty sarcasm, his dedication to the Ham Radio Clubs, the Miami Hamboree and his love for his wife Mirtha.
May John rest in peace.
