JOHN JERALD DROST's Obituary
John Jerald Drost passed away on August 22, 2016 after a long fight with cancer. He was 87. He joined the Air Force in 1946, serving in Okinawa and was later stationed at the Pentagon before joining the National Hurricane Center in Miami in 1960 until his retirement. He is survived by his son John Lewin Drost and daughter Lise Drost as well as grandson Jay Hamilton Drost, and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his oldest daughter Joanne Drost Manees and wife Katherine Kennedy Drost.
