MATELIS, Joan R., (Brennan) of Coral Gables and Sunny Isles, FL. Formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away August 11, 2009 surrounded by her beloved husband Paul and family members.
Joan worked for the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami, and formerly The MIAMI HERALD. Joan is survived by brothers John(Patricia), George(Margaret), sister, Phyllis, her nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews, Fondly remembered by the Matelis Family, Val and Nora, Joseph and Bernardine ,their children and grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7 PM. To 9 PM. Friday, August 14, 2009 at Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM., Saturday, August 15, 2009 at St. Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic Church, 17775 N. Bay Road, Sunny Isles Beach, Fl. A Memorial Mass will be held in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11 AM. At St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 29th & Dickinson Streets.
