Joan Lorraine Siatkowski's Obituary
Joan Lorraine Ianni Siatkowski, 91, went to heaven on Sept. 3rd, 2022. She was born the only child to George & Jeanne C. (Schwartz) Ianni on 9/25/1930 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Joan attended Saint Veronica’s Elementary School and the little flower Catholic High School for Girls. She then went to Albert Einstein Medical Center School and became a Radiation Technician.
She was a beloved wife of 60 years to Zenon “Cy” Siatkowski to whom she preceeds in death. Joan met the love of her life and then married on 9/3/1955. She and Cy moved to Miami, Florida in 1956 when Cy accepted a career with the City of Miami Police Department. She never missed the cold weather after that!
Joan worked at the American Greyhound Track Operators Association. After her time at the AGTO, she went to work and retire from Around The World Travel Agency.
Joan had a caring and courageous soul who overcame life's obstacles with toughness, persistence, compassion, selflessness, and unwavering faith. She truly cared for all she met, she uplifted those around her with her love, kindness and sense of humor. Her legacy lives on in all she profoundly influenced and loved dearly. She was loved deeply and fiercely by all that met her and will be terribly missed.
Joan and Cy had a love for traveling around the world and Cruising but nothing compares to the love that they had for each other, their family, friends, their faith and God.
Joan is survived by her 3 children Dolores “Lorri” Rudasill (Derwood), Gerry Siatkowski (Vanessa) and Andy Siatkowski (Mary); 9 grandchildren Gerard Siatkowski (Erin), Dennis Rudasill (Ceci), Dena Rudasill Alonso (David), Nicole Siatkowsi Davis (Greg), Dustin Rudasill, Dawn Rudasill (Tomas), Jennifer Siatkowski Walden (Andrew), Ryan Siatkowski (Ashley), Kevin Siatkowski (Alex); and 11 great grandchildren: Dominic, Dylan, Dante, Aiden, Anna, Rhett, Dixie, Sloan, Wesley, Aria & Everett.
A Visitation will be held at Van Orsdel Funeral Home located at 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176 on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 11:00 am - 4:30 pm. A Funeral service will be held at Saint Timothy’s Catholic Church located at 5400 SW 102nd Ave, Miami, FL 33165 on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:00 am. Joan will be laid to rest at the Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172 immediately following the funeral service.
