Jean Lynn Shearin, Devoted Mother and Grandmother
Jean Lynn Shearin, 79, of Miami, Florida, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 20th, 2017. She was born November 26, 1937, to Ernest and Lois Wilkinson, in Richmond Virginia. She was a graduate of Miami Senior High School.
Jean was preceded in Death by her husband of more than 50 years, Ovid Milton Shearin. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her two children, Janice Lynn Miller and James Lawrence Shearin; four grandchildren, Patrick Wallace Chung, Patricia Lynn Chung, Kevin Michael Shearin, and Nathaniel Miller JR.; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Rodriguez, Horatio Rodriguez, Bentley Shearin, and Rylan Rodriguez.
She was a dedicated employee, of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, for more than 44 years: 1972 - 2016. Her vibrant and candid personality, will be deeply missed by her family, Friends, and all who knew her.
The Viewing will be held on March 23, 2017 at Van Orsdel Funeral Home, 11220 N Kendall Dr, Miami, FL 33176, located on the south side of Kendall Drive, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will begin at 6:00 PM, on March 24, 2017 at Gateway Baptist Church, 6500 SW 97th AVE, Miami, FL 33173.
