Janet McCarty Claypool's Obituary
CLAYPOOL, JANET ELIZABETH McCARTY, 86, of Miami, passed away on May 6, 2012. Born December 7, 1925, in Miami, FL, she was a lifelong resident and a third generation descendent of Miami pioneers. Predeceased by her husband William R. Claypool (Bill) in 1999, she is survived by her son Mark Claypool and wife Sharon, of Miami, and son Matthew Claypool, of Blue Ridge, GA, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Baptized in the Church of Christ, she spent her life serving God and her brothers and sisters in Christ. She is a member of the Sunset Church of Christ congregation, where her husband served as an elder. Janet had an artist's eye, and created much beauty during her life. She was a natural-born engineer, and a creative thinker. She designed and helped build 2 houses, and created many beautiful oil paintings and commercial displays. She came to be loved and admired by all who knew her. Her Bible class called her a true example of the Proverbs 31:10-30 woman. Visitation tonight Tuesday from 5pm-8pm at Van Orsdel Kendall. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am followed by an interment at Woodlawn Park South.
