JANET LOVE ATWATER's Obituary
On Thursday, November 20, 2014, Jill passed away at her home at age 69. She was born January 5, 1945 in Binghamton, New York the first of five children born to Henry G. and Janet Humphrey Atwater.
A long time resident of Miami, Jill had a wonderful sense of humor and was a free spirit who loved sailing and travel. She was the life of the party and lived life on her own terms. Jill always demonstrated a special kindness and loyalty to friends, family and all felines.
Over the years, Jill worked for National Airlines, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Baptist Hospital and had recently retired.
Jill was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her siblings Judith Stewart (James), Henry (known as Terry), Jonathan (Joan) and Susan Atwater (Vince Deely). Additional survivors are nieces Justine Burke, Dana Stewart, and Mikaela Atwater. Jill had the great fortune to have a group of very dear friends, many of whom she had known for decades.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kendall location of Van Orsdel Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made in Jill’s name to the Miami-Dade ASPCA.
