James D. Dunkel's Obituary
Dunkel, James 68, formerly of Miami, FL, passed away on January 12, 2010. James went to Miami Senior High School and then graduated top of his class at Miami Dade Junior College in the field of electronics technology. As a young man he worked with his father on the Sea Spirit charter fishing boat located at Pier 5 in Miami. After graduation, James served in the Army 1st infantry, fought in the Vietnam War for nearly two years. Upon his return he began work with AT&T and Southern Bell until his retirement in 1990. After retirement, he joined the “Pioneers Club” retirees helping with volunteer projects. He also volunteered for the Miami Veterans Hospital and he is survived by two sisters and a niece. Services to be held at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL on Saturday, January 16, 2010 with visitation at 12:30 and services at 1:30pm. Family suggests any donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4418 Sun N Lakes Blvd., Sebring, FL 33872.
