James Carl Perkins' Obituary
James Carl Perkins, 75, fell asleep in the Lord on Nov. 30th, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 54 years, two daughters Patricia (Joseph) Rodriguez, Deborah (Lesley) Bowser, three grandchildren Melodi Bowser, and Shannon and Ryan Rodriguez, sisters Nelda (Neil) Hamilton, Lorna (Dale) Brownfield and Hilda Perkins. Born in Wooster, Ohio to parents Carl Alfred and Abbie Gayle Perkins. He served in the U.S. Navy and moved to Miami with his family permanently in 1961. He was a faithful member of the Orthodox Cathedral of Christ the Saviour for many years. He was a member of Biscayne Bay No. 124 F&A.M., and Mahi Shriners. In lieu of flowers send donations to Orthodox Cathedral of Christ the Saviour or The Mahi Shrine Transportation Fund. Visitation 2 – 4 pm Sunday and 7 – 9 pm Monday with a Memorial Service 7:30 pm and Masonic Service 8:00 pm Monday at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL. Funeral Service 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Orthodox Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Burial Woodlawn Park North.
