Bennett, James A. 87, born in West Palm Beach, Florida, 1/18/1923. Retired SGT Major with 23 years service in the US Army. He also Worked for The Miami Herald for over 44 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Lucy Ann. He is survived by his 4 sons: James (Donna), Lee, Donald (Lida), & David (Mariana); 4 grandchildren: Justin, Teresa, Christopher & Daniel. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, with a funeral service to be held at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, 3800 NW 22 Avenue, Miami, FL 33142.
