My son Gabriel and I just yesterday learned of Jim's passing via Internet...and I simply can't believe that I won't see that sly grin of his or that blue fire flash in his eyes again...Jim was SO good to me and my three kids...and he gave us so many fun times to remember--cookouts by his pool; a wild dance party for my daughter's 10th birthday; fireworks, paintball, rides on his lawnmower/"motorcycle" and listening to Santana while swimming in the pool with Charlie. I regret losing touch with Jim over the last few years; and never having thanked him enough for showing us what was really important in life. If there's a lesson Jim taught all of us--it was not to let anything ever wait.. He just went out there and LIVED it, but mostly, he SHARED it, whatever he loved, owned, experienced--with everyone. There's that line made famous in the "Bucket List" about the 2 questions we are asked upon dying--"Have you found joy? Have you brought joy to others? I know Jim did.
