Obituary for James Riegler
With a heavy heart and immeasurable love, we share the passing of our beloved James Riegler. Born August 27, 1946, in Queens, New York, James passed peacefully on January 20, 2026.
One of seven siblings, James is reunited in heaven with his loving parents, Marion and Richard Sr, brothers Richard Jr and Eugene, as well as his beloved son James Jr.
For many years, he built a respected career in finance, working as an accountant and CFO. His colleagues admired his dedication, integrity, intellect, and leadership but to his family he was simply everything. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, James lived life to the fullest with no regrets.
James leaves behind his loving wife Filomena, his adoring children Robert (Michelle), Andrew (Cinthia), and Kristen. His treasured grandchildren Robert Jr, Nicholas, Madison and Aubree, and his cherished siblings Peter (Cecilia), Lawrence, Steven (Pennie) and Dorianne (Jose) who will all hold a piece of him forever in their hearts.
Anyone who knew James knew him as a fighter, not just in spirit but in every battle that he faced.
James leaves us with a legacy of love, strength, kindness and compassion. He will be remembered in every peaceful moment and every kind act.
