Jim was a long time friend and business associate. He was one of my first clients when I started my professional practice and he remained a client and friend all these years. I always enjoyed talking to him, usually on the phone when he called to tell me that I made a mistake relating to his business tax returns or financial records. He was always right, and I was always wrong or so he thought. He usually maintained that he was correct until we talked for a while, and I explained that he had made a mistake that I corrected. Eventually he conceded that I was right and he was wrong, but that was all part of the fun of working with and representing Jim. After we settled the initial disagreement, we proceeded to discuss politics, the economy, yesterdays news, or anything else on his mind or mine. He usually won all those discussions because he usually was correct, and because I enjoyed talking to him more than trying to convince him of a different point of view.
Jim will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him, and I am proud to say that I am one of those individuals who knew him and admired him for a very long time.
My condolences go out to his large and extended family, all of whom will miss him just as much as I will.
