James Roosevelt Bryan's Obituary
James Roosevelt Bryan, the jolliest man (and “Safe Cracker”) in the world, 71, of Miami, FL, went to heaven on June 22, 2021. He passed away peacefully in his sleep with a smile on his face. He was born in Miami, FL on March 21, 1950, to Joseph Bryan and Pearl Voss Bryan. Jim graduated from Miami Senior High, where he played football, and was married to Linda Bryan on March 18, 1972. They were married for 49 years, the epitome of high school sweethearts, and were each other’s soulmates.
Jim’s highest level of joy was in the roles he played as a loving husband, Dad and Pop Pop. In addition, he was an expert Safe Cracker, specializing in the most intricate of safes and installing them ever so efficiently, humbly and confidentially in homes and estates all around Florida. Jim Bryan Safe, the family business, lives on through his younger son, Mark, who has been his apprentice all his life.
Jim is survived by Linda Bryan, his two sons James and Mark Bryan, and his Granddaughter, Savannah “Savvy” James Bryan and daughter in love, Lina Carrera. In addition, his brothers and sisters, Jay and Debbie Bryan, Joan and Ed Astigarraga, John and Sandra Bryan, and Joel and Lori Bryan. Lastly, his long list of extended family, friends and cherished clients that will always remember his vivacious and hearty laughter.
Jim joins in heaven his parents Joseph and Pearl, along with his other siblings, Joyce, Joey, Jan and Jeanie.
A celebration of life will be held on June 26, 2021, between 11 A.M. and 2 P.M. at the Van Orsdel – Kendall- located at 11220 N. Kendall Dr. Miami, FL 33176. Immediately following at 2:30 P.M., there will be a graveside service by the Reverend Willie Allen- Faella at Caballero Rivero -Dade South - located at 14200 S.W. 117th Ave. Miami, Fl 33186.
