My Godmother Jackie she was so loving, caring, kind. As I’m writing this there are so many memories, conversations that come to mind. As a child Jackie made me feel so loved, I will never forget when my grandfather passed and my Godparents came to pick me up and they kept with them for a few days in order to not be in the sadness and all the commotion that was going on. She took me in with no questions asked. As an adult my fondest memories were in the last few years, we talked about faith, our love for God, we got to know each other as two women of faith. She was one of my biggest supporters, she loved hearing about my job, my ministry work, my family, my accomplishments, my travels. The pride in her eyes as she heard me. I enjoyed each time we got to spend together. I loved making her laugh. She left me with a valuable lesson; Never let go of your faith, always hold on to God’s hand. She was a one of a kind soul and I am so blessed to have had her as my Godmother that loved me like a second mother. I love you Madrina, you will continue to live in my heart and memories.
