JACKSON HALL LEWIS's Obituary
Jackson H. Lewis died, at home, on October 24th, 2014, at the age of 95. Jack was born in Greenville, SC. on July 7, 1919. He attended the University of Georgia, and was a member of the Chi Phi fraternity. He was a flight instructor during WW II, and a captain with Eastern Airlines for 37 years. Jack loved flying, sailing, skiing, travel, and building projects. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; daughters Leslie Battle (Michael), Helen Lewis, Hillary Bennett (Patrick), granddaughters Bailey Battle and Taylor Murray. A memorial service will be held at Granada Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables on Saturday, November 22nd at 3:00pm. A reception will follow at the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Granada Presbyterian Church or to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
