IRENE ESTELLA LITTLE's Obituary
Irene Estella (Wheeler) Little passed away on April 26, 2014 with family members by her side. Estella was born in Ojus, Florida on August 22, 1922 and resided in the Miami area for most of her life. She was married for almost 72 years to Thomas E. Little, Sr., who proceeded her in death. She is survived by her two sons (Thomas E. Little, Jr. and Ralph H. Little), three granddaughters, a great-granddaughter, a great- grandson, a sister and a brother, a daughter-in-law, and many other family members – all of whom loved her and will miss her dearly. Estella was a kind, patient, gentle, and loving woman. When younger, Estella loved to play bridge and tennis. She enjoyed playing tennis so much that her husband had a tennis court built in their backyard just so Estella could play whenever she wanted. Her favorite flowers were orchids and roses and, at one time, she and husband had a large, lovely rose garden of their own. Most of all, Estella loved her family and spending time with them – gathering them together around her dining table for a family meal was something she always looked forward to and enjoyed immensely. Family and those who knew Estella are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Van Orsdel funeral home located at 11220 N. Kendall Drive, Miami. The interment will take place afterwards at Flagler Memorial cemetery.
