Henry William Meyer's Obituary
Henry William Meyer, 91 years old, a loving husband and father, returned to God on May 23, 2022. Henry was born to Miami pioneers, Margaret D. Beyer and Harry H. Meyer on May 7, 1931 in Miami, Florida. A graduate of the University of Miami, and an accountant by profession, Henry is survived by his wife Brenda, his three children: Sandy, Will, and Dan, his brother Charles, five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Henry was an early computer software developer, and assisted in the Bell Labs development of telephone touchtone dialing systems as well as a variety of early computer programs. He was also deeply involved most recently in establishing a scanning system at the advent of that technological revolution.
But Henry's true calling was as brother in Christ. As a church deacon and is a prison minister, he served the Lord by reaching out and ministering to the less fortunate. A kind, compassionate and faithful man, he passed quietly into God's arms after a brief illness.
