Grover Cleveland Johns' Obituary
JOHNS, Grover Cleveland, 83, passed away peacefully on December 8th after a short battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Coconut Grove. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II from 1943 to 1947. He returned to Miami and worked for the City of Miami Fire Dept. where he retired. He was a licensed boat Captain who loved to fish and go camping. He also loved playing his guitar and listening to music.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 ½ years, Juanita, two beloved daughters, Dottie Bown and Bobbie Johns, seven incredible grandchildren, and a great son-in-law, Mike Bown. He was a comedian to all who knew and loved him.
