Glen Keith Azevedo's Obituary
Glen Keith Azevedo passed away at his home on Monday, July 17, 2023, from natural causes, at the age of 53. Keith had been living in Key West, Florida for the last 20 years. Since he was a child, Keith had a love of cooking like no other. He was happiest when he could feed his friends and family and was tremendously creative in the kitchen. He was a good man who had personal struggles but found strength and encouragement from his friend Kenz Everett who never failed to make Keith smile, laugh, and lift him when he needed it, his best friend and roommate, Andrei Conovali, who was always their to keep Keith grounded, and his good friend and restauratuer Lea Brandon Fettis, with whom he shared a solid friendship for nearly two decades. Their support helped Keith stay on a positive path and make strides toward his personal and professional goals, and he was a sought-after chef who managed some of the best kitchens in Key West. He also managed the pantry at a local half-way house and donated a lot of his time and his own money to stock the pantry, purchase a new grill and feed the residents, as well as a number of the homeless in the area. He had a good heart, a strong will, and an unyiedling drive to move forward, and consistantly try to do and be better, to be enough. He was more than enough and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Azevedo, his brothers Chris Azevedo and Mitch Azevedo, a sister Kathy Kastberg, two nieces and one nephew. He is predeceased by his father Glen Azevedo.
