Wedge Janet
Gladys was my best friend at Barnard. Our rooms were across from one another. I practiced my French with her and she taught me a Creole lullaby. On occasion she lent me her fur coat. She visited my family in northeast Pennsylvania and went to mass with me at St. Adalbert's church. I was invited to double date with her and ended up marrying the Columbia man I was matched with. Unfortunately I lost track of Gladys after she graduated and moved to Paris, although I did receive an invitation to her wedding. I remember her with great fondness.
